Our Story
Our
Beginning
Realty Specialists was founded in 1981 by Lorenzo Henry Goganious Jr., a visionary entrepreneur with a passion for real estate, community, and creating opportunities for others. A proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and alumnus of Norfolk State University, Lorenzo established what would become one of Hampton Roads' oldest minority-owned real estate and property management firms.

Built on a foundation of integrity, personal relationships, and a commitment to exceptional service, Realty Specialists has proudly helped generations of individuals and families navigate the real estate market. From homeownership to property investment and management, the brokerage has remained dedicated to providing trusted guidance and personalized solutions throughout Hampton Roads.
Continuing the Family Legacy
Today, Realty Specialists continues that tradition under the leadership of Lorenzo H. Goganious III, a Hampton Roads native and second-generation Broker/Owner.

A graduate of Salem High School, Lorenzo III attended Appalachian State University on a football scholarship before returning to Hampton Roads to build his career in real estate. Following in his father's footsteps, he brings a strong commitment to client service, local market expertise, and helping others achieve their real estate goals.

Under his leadership, Realty Specialists continues to honor the values established in 1981 while embracing new opportunities to serve the evolving needs of the community.
Rooted in Our Community. Focused on Your Future.
For more than four decades, Realty Specialists has been more than a real estate brokerage. We have been a part of the Hampton Roads community, building relationships, supporting homeownership, and helping property owners protect and grow their investments. As we look to the future, our commitment remains the same: providing knowledgeable, personalized service while building on a legacy of trust, professionalism, and community connection.
